USFA Launches Wildland Fire Training Web Site

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced a new Web site with training information for firefighters who may be involved in wildland or wildland-urban interface firefighting.

The site, managed by the National Wildfire Coordinating Group, is located at training.nwcg.gov. The new site provides information about the NWCG curriculum, training programs, training materials, standards and related aspects of the NWCG interagency training program.

According to Acting U.S. Fire Administrator Charlie Dickinson, who also serves on the Wildland Fire Leadership Council, "The opportunities being offered on this new Web site will be of tremendous help to the structural fire community in dealing with wildland fire situations, especially in the urban interface."
