Roosevelt Hot Shots Field Test Radios

The Roosevelt Hot Shots, based in Fort Collins, Colo., will field-test Relm Wireless's DPH Project 25 — compliant digital radios, according to the company.

The company is furnishing the firefighters with a dozen BK Radio-brand DPH5120X-model radios. The DPH line earned fire certification from the National Interagency Fire Center in April.

The unit is a 5-watt, 400-channel portable radio that complies with the standards set by Project 25, which requires radios to work in both analog and digital radio systems.
