Designed to be more sensitive to thermal energy emitted by people and objects, the Protectir[TM] 4000B infrared heat vision camera allows firefighters to view a fire's radiant heat and more accurately track the fire's path, according to the manufacturer. Weighing 91 pounds, the unit features a tilt range of 20ø below and 90ø above the horizon, produces images at 160 by 120 pixels, can detect a person up to 1,500 feet away, and can operate in temperatures from -40ø to 131ø f.
