Station Style Entry Deadline Extended

Fire departments and architects with exceptional projects deserving national recognition should be aware that the deadline for submission of entry forms to FIRE CHIEF’s 2006 Station Style awards competition has been extended to August 10.

Entries may reflect entire fire stations or specialized parts of facilities, but projects must have been completed since Jan. 2, 2003, or be under contract for construction on or before Sept. 1, 2006. Entrants should note that the deadline for submission of complete presentation portfolios has not been extended and remains August 15.

Three winners will be selected in each of the five categories and will receive plaques. Citation recipients will receive a certificate of recognition. All recognized stations also will be included in the November issue of FIRE CHIEF magazine. More details regarding the competition are available online at www.firechief.com.
