Klindt Breckenridge Recieves Award
The University of Arizona’s presented several awards to distinguished alumni during its annual awards banquet. Among the honorees was Klindt D. Breckenridge, AIA, who accepted the 2008 University of Arizona Alumni Bear Down Award. Klindt was nominated by Frank W. Soltys in part for his contributions to the physical fabric of the University of Arizona.
Klindt’s architectural contributions can be seen in over 50 facilities on the University of Arizona campus, including the halls of Greenlee and the fields of Hillenbrand. His architectural imprint across campus consists of new facilities, renovations and studies.
Some of his most notable designs are the sports facilities, such as the Richard Jefferson basketball practice facility, the Sancet field canopy and press box area, Bear Down gym renovations, McKale center renovations, McKale center athletic heritage center/hall of fame and the Hillenbrand swimming and diving tower at the main entrance, shaping the east campus.
