Editorial About Lewd Behavior Was On Target

Regarding "Lewd Behavior at the Station," published in Command Post on Feb. 18, 2005:

Just wanted to say that your article on lewd behavior at the station was right on target. And IMHO, the firefighters who participated in the episode(s) should be terminated. Even if the old regulation only refers to "not bringing discredit on the department." How on earth could you bring more discredit to a fire department than by having a sex orgy at a fire station? It is incidents like this, and the lame responses of the officials in charge, that bring substantial discredit to the fire service. We have a long way to go before becoming a profession, and this type of behavior and the management response is partly to blame.
