Fire Corps, a program that connects community members with fire/EMS departments to perform non-emergency tasks, is offering free online training in March to help departments expand their local program. Fire Corps Academy is a series of free training sessions and resources designed for Fire Corps program managers, department leaders, department staff and local Fire Corps volunteers who wish to start and/or participate in a Fire Corps program. These courses will teach how to market a program, recruit youth and senior volunteers and utilize Fire Corps volunteers to implement a community assistance program for after critical incidents.
Online courses are limited to 30 attendees per session.
