Kenneth Richardson Receives Lamb Award

The National Fire Protection Association honored J. Kenneth Richardson with the 2008 Paul C. Lamb Award. The award is the highest honor given by the association for volunteer service and will be presented at NFPA’s World Safety Conference & Exposition in Las Vegas.

Named in honor of a man recognized for a long career in fire protection and his many years of dedication to NFPA, the award is a tribute to Lamb’s legacy of service that is a benchmark for all NFPA volunteers to strive for in the future. The Paul C. Lamb Award has only been given to 18 individuals since its inception in 1980. It recognizes personal characteristics such as leadership skills, tact and diplomacy, straightforwardness, professional integrity and active dedication to the goals of NFPA.
