Ohio Firefighter, Lion Sales Manager Dies of Heart Attack

Jason Kirby, a regional sales manager for Lion Apparel and a firefighter with the Washington Township (Ohio) Fire Department, died of a heart attack Dec. 9. He was 37.
 
Kirby’s sales territory covered Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin. He also had been a member of the Washington Township Fire Department since 1991.
 
Kirby is survived by his wife, Debby; children, Joshua and Piper; his parents; and sister.
 
“Jason’s family values, drive and work ethic were his most dominate strengths to me,” Lion Senior Vice President Steve Allison said. “As a firefighter who also was a solid sales professional, he always brought a challenging perspective to our business.”
 
Lion is establishing the Jason Kirby Family Fund and 529 Plans each child. Checks can be made payable to Jason Kirby Family Fund or College America 529 (Kirby Children) and mailed to: Lion HR Department, 6450 Poe Avenue, Suite 300, Dayton OH 45414, Attn: Shanda Brown.
