Pa. Chief Launches 'Drive to Survive' Web Site

Battalion Chief Chris Daly of the Goshen Fire Department in West Chester, Pa., has launched "Drive to Survive," a Web site designed to act as a clearinghouse for information relating to emergency vehicle accidents and driver-training programs.

The site is a supplement to a training class Daly is presenting at Firehouse Expo in July. It contains information about braking issues, air-brake operations, tire safety, rollover safety, hydroplaning and commercial vehicle safety, as well as links to the vehicle laws of all 50 states. Daly hopes that by gathering as much information as possible about large-vehicle operations and behavior, he'll be able to provide driver trainers and apparatus operators access valuable information for their programs.
