D.C. Chief Achieves Chief Medical Officer Designation

Washington, D.C., Fire & EMS Chief Dennis L. Rubin has earned the designation of chief medical officer

Washington, D.C., Fire & EMS Chief Dennis L. Rubin has earned the designation of chief medical officer from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. He is one of only 34 nationwide to hold such a classification. The designation is valid for three years, and maintaining it requires professional development, professional contributions, active association membership and community involvement.

"It is truly an honor to bring this level of leadership to our organization," said Rubin. "What I hope is that — aside from a positive operational impact — this demonstrates our collective commitment to emergency medical services in the nation's capital."

Rubin also holds a fire officer designation.
