Pierce Mfg. receives an order from U.S. Army; Advantage Fitness Products supplies San Francisco FD; Smiths Detection receives TSA order for SABRE 4000 handheld trace explosives detectors; Champion Rescue Tools launches a new corporate Web site.

Pierce Mfg. received an order from the U.S. Army for 21 HEMTT-based water tenders. The purchase is valued at $10.5 million. The first vehicles will be delivered beginning in June 2010, and will be used by Army, National Guard and Army Reserve firefighting units.

Advantage Fitness Products recently supplied the San Francisco Fire Department with specialized equipment and provided training support to help the department meet the revised International Association of Fire Fighters fitness protocol.

Smiths Detection received a $2 million order from the Transportation Security Administration for SABRE 4000 handheld trace explosives detectors. These lightweight systems can detect trace amounts of substances from either particle or vapor samples.

Champion Rescue Tools has launched a new corporate Web site at www.championrescuetools.com. The new site includes technical specification comparisons between Champion's rescue tools and each industry competitor using an easy-to-use drop down box; training video from Champion's no-cost, 5-Star Extrication Training Academy classes and class registration details; a complete set of downloadable Champion product brochures with all technical specifications; and downloadable user manuals.
