Hendrickson Auxiliary Axle Systems recently earned an ISO/TS 16949: 2002 Quality Management System Certification by the Vehicle Certification Agency, an independent accredited management systems registrar.… United Consulting Engineers & Architects was selected to design a new fire station in Lawrence Township, Ind. The proposed schedule would allow for the construction to begin in September. The company has recently completed a number of stations in the last few years. The most recent station, Station 444 in Warren Township, Ind., was completed in December 2005.… Ferrara Fire Apparatus announced that sales for the first quarter of 2007 continued the record pace established in 2006. “We neared the 350 truck mark for the first time in 2006,” said founder and CEO Chris Ferrara. “Based upon first quarter sales and projected growth through the rest of the year, we are on pace to exceed last year's record.” Ferrara credited large aerial sales, entry into the custom fabricated command trailer market, and large sales of the Inferno and Igniter custom chassis for the upswing.… Witmer Associates Inc., a distributor of public safety equipment and supplies and owner of thefirestore.com, announced it is acquiring Moul Enterprises Inc. and Mason-Dixon Fire Equipment LLC, both fire equipment and supply companies serving the mid-Atlantic region.… Pelican Products has announced that its latest Protector cases have been awarded the NATO STANAG 4280 and DEF-STAN 81-41 certifications. These standards are used by the NATO countries as the European equivalents to the MIL-SPEC certification in the United States.
