"Let Your Voice Be Heard" is the theme for the 12th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner, scheduled for May 3 at the Washington Hilton and Towers in Washington, D.C.
The dinner will top off a day of discussions about federal fire service initiatives, including a new program, and a seminar on effective grassroots activities involving Congressional staffers and the leadership of the fire and emergency services. For more information, visit the cfsi Web site at .
In other news, cfsi and Motorola are accepting nominations for the Mason Lankford Fire Service Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals for proactive efforts in support of local fire and emergency services on the local, state or national level. The award is named for the late Mason Lankford of Arlington, Texas.

Finally, cfsi is announcing an internship opportunity in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers Association.
