Bus 'Wrap' Puts Fire Safety on the Road

The Greensboro (N.C.) Fire Department, in collaboration with the Greensboro Transit Authority, unveiled a “wrapped” GTA bus on May 2 as part of a new initiative aimed at educating residents on fire safety and prevention. The plastic coating embossed on the bus is printed with colorful safety messages, numbers to call for free smoke detector installations, and information explaining what residents can do to prevent fires. The interior of the vehicle will include seasonal fire-safety messages in both English and Spanish. The wrapped bus will primarily serve the southeast area of Greensboro, where the highest number of fires occur, but will appear in other areas throughout the city.
