Get a Fire Protection Week Campaign Toolkit
The National Fire Protection Association has posted a free campaign toolkit for use by the fire service during Fire Prevention Week, Oct. 5-11. It includes easy-to-use information and new materials never before available online, the NFPA says.
The FPW online tool kit includes statistical information from NFPA, safety tips on smoke alarm installation and practicing home fire escape plans, a how-to guide, a fund-raising primer, escape stories and media materials to help your fire department spread Fire Prevention Week’s message.
NFPA has been the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week for 81 years. This year's theme is "When Fire Strikes: Get Out! Stay Out!" Fire Prevention Week was established in 1920 to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, which killed 250 people and left more than 10,000 people homeless.
Other materials and handouts for Fire Prevention Week are available through NFPA’s online catalog. For more information, visit NFPA’s Web site.
