Fire Prevention Institute Scheduled for January

The International Code Council will be offering fire safety professionals an opportunity to learn more about the latest in fire safety concepts through its Fire Prevention Institute, to be held Jan. 22-25, 2007, in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

The institute will feature fire and building safety experts presenting strategies for effective application of provisions of the 2006 International Fire and Building Codes relative to high-piled combustible storage, fire protection systems, hazardous materials and means-of-egress issues in commercial buildings.

Cosponsored by the San Bernardino County Fire Chief’s Association, the Fire Prevention Institute offers participants the opportunity to earn continuing-education units; AIA learning units; and health, safety and welfare credits. Attendees also will have the chance to discuss issues particular to their own locales, share experiences, network and interact with educators.

For more information on the institute, visit the ICC Web site.
