VFIS Develops 'Volunteer Fire Company Planning Processes'

In recent years, a number of new techniques and processes have been introduced into the emergency service community.

While practiced with diligence in larger departments, techniques such as strategic planning, risk assessment, and standard of response cover have now reached the volunteer service and serve as new challenges to officers of emergency service organizations.

To assist emergency service organizations with these challenges, VFIS has developed "Volunteer Fire Company Planning Processes," featuring new techniques to better manage your organization's resources. Included within are three techniques which serve as a component of quality management foryour organization ? Standards of Response Cover, Risk Assessment, and Strategic Planning. You can use these techniques within your organization to respond to the ever-changing emergency services environment. "Volunteer Fire Company Planning Processes," a 13-page document, is now available as a free download from the VFIS web site.

VFIS currently provides insurance programs and products to more than 15,000 emergency services clients across the U.S. and in Canada. For more information, visit www.vfis.com.
