NFP meeting to be held at IAWF conference

The U.S. Department of Interior and the USDA Forest Service will be hosting the National Fire Plan annual meeting in conjunction with Wildland Fire 2004: Surviving the Interface Danger Zone, sponsored by the International Association of Wildland Fire and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. The meeting and conference will be held in Reno, Nev., March 3-5, 2004.

During the meeting awards for excellence in implementing the National Fire Plan will be given to individuals and organizations for collaboration; firefighter preparedness, safety and training; rehabilitation and restoration; hazardous fuel treatment; community assistance, and innovation in use of biomass.
