IAFF to Webcast Presidential Forum

Presidential hopefuls seeking the International Association of Fire Fighters' endorsement in 2008 will address thousands of IAFF leaders and members at the IAFF Presidential Forum March 14. The forum will be available in streaming video on the IAFF Web site via time-delayed webcast several few hours after the start of the live event.

Presidential hopefuls seeking the International Association of Fire Fighters' endorsement in 2008 will address thousands of IAFF leaders and members at the IAFF Presidential Forum March 14. The forum will be available in streaming video on the IAFF Web site via time-delayed webcast several few hours after the start of the live event.

The presidential forum is part of the process of deciding which candidate deserves the IAFF’s support. "This is the first bipartisan presidential forum of the 2008 election cycle," IAFF General President Harold Schaitberger said in a press release.

Scheduled speakers include:

  • U.S. Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.)
  • U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.)
  • U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.)
  • Former U.S. Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.)
  • Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (tentative)
  • U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.)
  • U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.)
  • U.S. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)
  • U.S. Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.)
  • Gov. Bill Richardson (D-N.M.)
