Fire School Set for First Weekend in June

The 16th annual Ark-La-Tex Area Fire School will be held June 2-4 in Queen City, Texas. The classes offer attendees an opportunity to stay abreast of new developments in the fire and rescue field and to learn various fire control and fire protection techniques.

All member of volunteer, career or combination departments of municipalities and private industries are welcome to enroll. Fees to attend are $35 if a reservation is made prior to May 19 and $40 if made after May 19.

Five course packages are offered, including farm-agri rescue, water tender operations, NFA health safety officer, National Incident Management System (NIMS I-700), and clandestine meth lab awareness.
