EFO Project Seeks Survey Respondents

Garret Olson, deputy fire chief with the Scottsdale (Ariz.) Fire Department, is enrolled in the U.S. Fire Administration's Executive Fire Officer Program. As a function of that program he has taken on the task of creating a plan to increase recruitment and retention of female fire service professionals that would be applicable to fire departments nationwide.

Olson is asking female fire service professionals to participate in an anonymous online survey that will gather demographic and anecdotal information relative to their decisions to enter the fire service. The survey site can be accessed by clicking here.

The site will remain active through the end of October. Survey results will be made available to respondents upon request.
