Brunacini retired from the Phoenix Fire Department in 2006 after 48 years of service and has authored the Essentials of Fire Department Customer Service, Fire Command, and Timeless Tactical Truths and Command Safety. He was also a past chairman of the Fire Service Occupational Safety and Health Committee of the NFPA, which was responsible for the development of the 1500 standard.

"Online education is the future of fire service training and record-keeping. I look forward to working on this important board and assisting TargetSafety, the leader in fire and EMS training to develop new applications and content for their current and future customers," said Brunacini.
