Wanted: Photos of Your Shop Trucks

If your shop operates a mechanics truck, service truck, tire truck, fuel truck or other vehicle related to apparatus maintenance, we'd like to get a photo of it.

Shop trucks are often the most overlooked vehicles on a department's apparatus roster, and we want to change that. We plan to feature photos of shop trucks in upcoming issues of In Service Online, as well as possibly feature them in a short article in Fire Chief magazine.

To consider a photo, we will need good color prints or equally good digital images in 300 dpi resolution and jpeg format. The preferred size is 4-in by 6-in, so please re-size digital files before you send them. Pick your best shot and send just one print or image of each vehicle.

We will also need some basic specs about the vehicle including date of manufacture, make and model of the truck, name of the body builder, and a summary of the tools or equipment carried.

You can make your submissions via e-mail to Chris Cavette, Senior Editor at cavettes@ix.netcom.com. Please inquire for a mailing address if you want to mail your submissions instead.
