Tanker Rollover Kills Assistant Chief

The assistant chief of an Indiana fire department died when a tanker left the roadway and rolled over.

The accident occurred when the assistant chief was driving a tanker enroute to a fire in a neighboring community. The apparatus left the roadway, rolled and ejected the victim. Preliminary reports indicate that no seat belt was being worn.
