Chicago-based RealWheels Corp., usually known for bright stainless steel wheel covers and wheel accessories, teamed up with the rock band Cheap Trick to promote a new division. The I.D.E.A. division (Innovative Design & Engineering Applications) works with companies on the OEM level, creating new product designs, vehicle enhancements and quoting on existing parts. Some of their recent design projects include solid billet aluminum door handles for fire trucks, 3D stainless steel vehicle graphics and a special flag-pole system designed for emergency vehicles.
"Many of the parts we create for our clients are not at all flashy," says RWC Vice President of Marketing Jhan R. Dolphin, "but crating these attention-getting promotional vehicles is a great way to show our design capabilities and clearly show our clients the impact that high-quality billet and stainless steel components can have on a vehicle's appearance."
The promotional vehicle featured a laser-light and music show that emerges from the back of the vehicle, along with the video game ROCKBAND2.
