D&S Custom Covers recently installed hosebed covers on 68 frontline and reserve pumpers for the Philadelphia Fire Department. The order involved retrofitting several different makes and models of apparatus with specially designed covers.

D&S Custom Covers has been producing a variety of fire apparatus protective covers for over 15 years, including covers for the rear hosebed, preconnected crosslay hosebeds and other areas. Their main hosebed covers feature a patented shock cord fastening system that allows the material to expand and shrink with temperature without stressing or tearing the seams. According to the manufacturer, the fasteners are easy to attach and loosen manually — even with gloved hands.
