Peterbilt Has New Short-Cab Model

Peterbilt has introduced a new cab and hood configuration for customers who want a heavy-duty chassis with good maneuverability, maximum space for the body and excellent weight distribution.

The new model is known as the 357-115 and is based on Peterbilt's rugged Model 357, which is designed for construction, logging and fire service tanker applications. It has a short 115-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab dimension and a deep set-back front axle position. The combination gives a good wheel cut and a shorter wheelbase for improved maneuverability. At the same time, it permits more weight to be carried on the front axle for a better load distribution between the front and rear.
