Oklahoma EVTs Offer EVTCC L1 Refresher Class

The Oklahoma Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians will offer a brief refresher class for technicians preparing for the EVTCC L1 Law Enforcement Equipment Installation test.

The class will be held on Oct. 20 at the Oklahoma City Fire Training Center starting at 9 a.m. The presentation is an outline-based refresher session intended to help technicians pass the certification test without going into great depth. The practices described can be applied to many other equipment installations for emergency and non-emergency vehicles.

The main points of instruction will cover definitions and terms, basic electrical systems, installation best (and worst) practices, troubleshooting and repair.

For more information call John Horton at 918-724-4085, Tim Dowers at 580-554-9458, or Robert Wilkerson at 405-297-1300.
