Kussmaul Develops Door Sensor for LED Lights

Kussmaul Electronics has developed an open door sensor for apparatus compartments equipped with low-current LED lights. The new Kussmaul Auto Current F-6 device is a simple and reliable way to warn vehicle operators that one or more compartment doors have not been fully closed.

Modern compartment lights are automatically activated when the door is opened. When the door is not fully closed, the light circuit remains on with current flowing. The new Kussmaul device differs from other open-door warning devices because it can sense the extremely low current flows commonly found in LED light circuits. Several door circuits can be fed through a single device to activate a flashing warning light in the cab.
