EVT Group Forms in Kansas

A new EVT organization is being formed to provide regular training and networking opportunities for fire mechanics, emergency vehicle technicians and shop personnel in the central part of the country.

The group will be known as the Heartland Emergency Apparatus Technicians, or HEAT. Although it will be based in Kansas, HEAT is open to personnel from the surrounding states as well. Organizers envision quarterly meetings in the Wichita area, with the possibility of also hosting an annual conference featuring classes, EVT testing and a vendor show.
