Twenty-four-year-old Walker County, Ga., firefighter Jarrett Little died when the fire truck he was driving to a structure fire flipped over on New Year's Eve. According to WDEF-TV, Little and two other firefighters were headed up Mission Ridge Road. When he made a left turn on McFarland Ave., Chief Randy Camp says the truck rolled over, leaving Little trapped inside. The incident is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol.

"We really live with each other for 24 hours at a time and we share each other's happy times and sad times," says Camp. "It's a togetherness that's really hard to explain. When something happens to one of our own it's a devastating blow." Mich. Firefighters Ejected in Rollover On Jan. 4, a 26-year-old firefighter with Lawton (Mich.) Fire Department was injured when the fire tanker he was riding in rolled over. The incident occurred near the intersection of CR657 and 66th Avenue in Antwerp Township, according to WOOD-TV. The tanker was driving north on CR 657 when the truck's driver lost control. Conditions were icy, and the driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions. The tanker veered to the left, hit an embankment and rolled over.

The injured driver, who was wearing his seatbelt, was taken to Bronson Hospital where he was treated and released.

Another passenger in the truck, who was not wearing his seat belt, sustained several injuries, including a broken jaw, a possible broken nose, a punctured left leg and other injuries to his legs, lungs and neck, along with numerous cuts and bruises. He was ejected from the vehicle when it rolled over.
