Dave Fornell, known to many in the fire service as "Capt. Dave," has joined HME as director of marketing for HME Ahrens-Fox Fire Apparatus.

Fornell attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Air University of the U.S. Air Force. He was a crew chief in the crash-rescue service of the Air Force, and held various positions as a member; line officer; and chief of fire departments in Illinois, Connecticut and Ohio.

He is a well-known consultant, educator and author and has made presentations at numerous national fire service conventions and meetings.

Fornell has already been involved in several projects for HME, and some of his new apparatus ideas will be on display at the FDIC show in Indianapolis in April.
