Department to Offer ‘Drive to Survive’ Classes

The Goshen Fire Company of West Chester, Pa., is sponsoring several sessions of a driver training class called “Drive to Survive: How to Avoid Apparatus Crashes.”

The class covers the most common causes of apparatus accidents and discusses the role of speed, braking, roadway surface conditions, tires, seat belts and several other factors. Students will learn the mindset and driving techniques necessary to avoid accidents so that everyone goes home.

The next classes are scheduled for Jan. 18, Feb. 1 and Feb. 11.
