Darley Pumps Chosen for Florida Wildland Units

The Florida Division of Forestry recently specified Darley engine-driven pumps on 7 wildland engines and more than 65 skid-mount pump/tank units for use throughout the state.

The wildland engines are being built by Pride Enterprises and include 300-gal water tanks on Ford light-duty flatbed trucks. They feature low-profile compartments flanking the tank on both sides, with the pump and booster reel mounted low at the rear for easy access.

The skid-mount units are being built by several other manufacturers to meet the state specifications.

Both the wildland engines and the skid-mounts feature the Darley 1-1/2AGE 20H pump with a Honda 20hp gasoline engine. This pump is designed to produce a combination of volume and pressure ranging from 120gpm at 130psi to 25gpm at 300psi and can be used for a variety of wildland firefighting applications.

For more information about the pump, call Darley at 800-323-0244 or go to www.darley.com
