ConocoPhillips Now Has CJ-4 Oil

ConocoPhillips has introduced its Guardol ECT premium, synthetic CJ-4 motor oil for use in 2007 engines.

The new Guardol ECT oil is backwards-compatible, which means it may be used in pre-2007 engines, too. It will be available under the Conoco, Phillips 66 and 76 Lubricant brands before the end of the year.

ConocoPhillips also has introduced an economically efficient CJ-4 motor oil known as Fleet Supreme EC for fleets running 2007 engines. All 2007 engines will require the new CJ-4 oil formulation, as well as new diesel fuel and new maintenance procedures.

See "Here They Come" in the August 2006 issue of FIRE CHIEF for more information about the new engines, fuel, oil, maintenance and other topics relating to 2007 diesel engines.
