American LaFrance Gets Two Big California Orders

American LaFrance has received orders for apparatus from Los Angeles City and San Francisco. The orders represent multi-year contracts with options to renew.

Los Angeles City Fire Department ordered 14 American LaFrance tillered ladder trucks with LTI aerial ladders. The purchase updates the entire frontline aerial fleet of the department with American LaFrance vehicles. The contract covers five years, with the option to add vehicles in the future.

San Francisco Fire Department received a pair of American LaFrance rescue units and has signed a renewable contract to purchase American LaFrance pumpers with an initial order of 10 units. To honor the upcoming centennial of the 1906 earthquake and fire that ravaged the city, the vehicles will be painted the same color scheme that adorned San Francisco fire apparatus 100 years ago.
