Terrorism Panel to Air
The National Terrorism Preparedness Institute at St. Petersburg College is presenting Live Response. Live Response is a 60-minute interactive satellite television broadcast featuring a panel of experts who share their knowledge and experiences about terrorism awareness, prevention, preparedness, response and recovery. The broadcast will air 2 p.m. (Eastern) on Feb. 27.
The Interactive Media Laboratory, part of the Department of Community and Family Medicine at the Dartmouth Medical School, created more than 16 hours of weapons of mass destruction hazmat training for this Virtual Terrorism Response Academy course. Live Response explores this videogame-based interactive training program, examining how it prepares first responders for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive emergencies.
Live Response expert guests IML Director Joseph V. Henderson and master hazmat trainer Mike Callan welcome viewer questions about the Virtual Terrorism Response Academy and invite viewers to submit their questions via phone, e-mail, or fax before the broadcast. For satellite coordinates and more details, visit http://terrorism.spcollege.edu/news/broadcast.aspx?ID=66. A streaming video file will be available online within days of the broadcast.
