DHS Issues NRP Changes

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a Notice of Change to the National Response Plan — the all-discipline, all-hazards plan that sets out the structure for the coordination of federal support to state and local incident managers in the event of domestic incidents.

The Notice of Change identifies several hundred locations in the December 2004 version of the NRP where changes have been made. The Notice of Change is effective immediately, but it will be followed later this year by an extensive review of the NRP, at which time the NRP will be reissued.

The full text of the Notice of Change in PDF format can be downloaded from here. For more information on the NRP, a quick reference guide to the plan, or the full text of the plan itself, go to the NRP Web site.
