Ohio Fire Department Receives Nearly $1M in Grants for Station Renovations, Ladder Truck (with Related Video)

The Austintown (Ohio) Fire Department has brought in close to $1 million in grants, which will be used for renovations and the addition of sleeping quarters to its Fire Station No.

From WFMJ TV: The Austintown (Ohio) Fire Department has brought in close to $1 million in grants, which will be used for renovations and the addition of sleeping quarters to its Fire Station No. 3.

Asst. Fire Chief Andy Frost Jr. wrote the successful grant for those dollars and wrote a second grant application for a new ladder truck.

Fifty thousand dollars for the truck came from the township and the remaining $450,000 came from a federal grant. Read the entire article here.
