Kussmaul Debuts Power Timer for Fire Apparatus

Kussmaul's new power timer eliminates dead batteries caused by power drain from radios and data terminals that operate while the engine is off. The unit allows the use of accessory loads per programmed time limit while preserving the battery for starting the engine. The power timer is programmable, ensuring adequate reserve to start the engine. Rugged construction, powder coated case with epoxy coated components, and water proof time-out setting switches, the unit is designed to withstand 80°C and the vibration of the engine compartment. The 30-amp rating permits powering multiple auxiliary loads/circuits without running the engine.
