Firefighters from Stone Park (Ill.) Fire Department have established a fund for donations in memory of Fire Medic Jeffery Bergstrom, who was killed this week when two fire apparatus collided in suburban Chicago.

The two neighboring fire trucks, responding to a garage fire, crashed mid-intersection. Bergstrom was ejected from the fire truck and killed. Another firefighter sustained critical injuries.

Bergstrom, 34 years old, will be waked on Sunday, May 2. Bergstrom's family is from southern Illinois and funeral arrangements are still being made. Donations can be made to: Stone Park Firefighter's Fund, International Bank of Stone Park, 1615 North Mannheim Road, Stone Park, Ill. 60165.
