Discounted Training Offered to Calif. EMS and Fire

California fire departments can now obtain the latest in online EMS training from the National Paramedic Institute at a discount because of a new partnership agreement between NPI, the International Association of Fire Fighters and the California Professional Firefighters.

NPI's online training focuses on the recertification and online training needs of firefighters, EMTs and paramedics. NPI's "Medic Monthly" modules are case-based scenarios showcasing professional fire-based EMS providers across the country. The training offers continuing education credits through the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Services and is endorsed by IAFF and CPF.

Directed by Dr. Steven Katz, medical director for Florida Professional Firefighters, each course includes a pretest, 20-minute video, post-test explanation and review, and a quiz.
