The Gulf Shores (Ala.) Fire Department recently dedicated its new 18,000-square-foot station.
The new station has six, two-person bunk rooms, restrooms, a classroom, an elevator and storage space as well as new offices for the chief, deputy chief, training officer and fire marshal.
The steel-framed, energy-efficient structure was built to withstand 140-mph winds.
