Ohio Department Uses FIRE Grant Award to Purchase AEDs

The Tiffin Fire Department will purchase three new heart monitors with its $75,000 grant, and the old heart monitors will find a home in the department's fire engines.

From the Advertiser-Tribune: All Tiffin (Ohio) Fire Department fire engines are now equipped with heart monitors, thanks to a $75,000 Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The funds will purchase three new heart monitors, and the old heart monitors will find a home in the department's fire engines.

The new monitors also have Bluetooth capability, allowing paramedics and firefighters to send vital information to the hospital before a patient arrives.
