Tampa Fire Station Faces Bedbug Infestation (with Related Video)

Bed bugs invade Tampa fire station: MyFoxTAMPABAY.com

From My Fox Tampa Bay: A small enemy is creating big problems for firefighters at Fire Station No. 15 in Tampa, Fla.

"The bed bug issue was brought to our attention in the middle part of September," Asst. Chief Nick Locicero said. "[Firefighters] don't like the infestation, nobody would, but yeah, they are working with us as much as possible."

The bugs were discovered in the dorm where the 18 firefighters at the station sleep. That room is now off limits, so many of the firefighters have to sleep in the lounge area on couches and cots.

It's believed someone picked the bedbugs during a response, but they'll never know for sure.
