Smeal Fire Apparatus recently introduced its 1000/1000 aerial platform, designed for use at high-rise fires.

Capable of holding 1,000 pounds live load on its platform while pumping 1,000 gpm, the unit features an 85-foot, mid-mounted, five-section aerial ladder, which boasts an 85-foot vertical reach, an 81-foot reach at 0 degrees, and a –12 to +72 degree operational range.
