Schultz Fire Crosses 10k Acres
From All Headline News: A wildfire in Coconino National Forest has spread to more than 10,000 acres, forcing some residents in nearby Flagstaff, Ariz., to evacuate. So far, the Schultz Fire is only 10% contained.
No structures have been lost but the Forest Service says the municipal watershed of the Inner Basin, threatened and endangered wildlife species, communication lines on Mt. Elden and cultural resources including Sunset Crater National Monument are at risk.
The fire began Sunday morning. Officials have confirmed that it was caused by an abandoned campfire.
