San Luis Obispo Chief to Retire in November

John Callahan is a 37-year veteran of the fire service, and spent the last five years at his current post.

From the San Luis Obispo Tribune: San Luis Obispo (Calif.) Fire Chief John Callahan will retire in November.

Callahan is a 37-year veteran of the fire service, and spent the last five years at his current post. Prior to that, Callahan worked 32 years in the Los Angeles Fire Department, retiring there as deputy chief.

The city will soon begin a national recruitment process to find Callahan’s replacement.
