From the Courier-Journal: The firefighters’ union in Louisville, Ky., has filed a grievance with the city over malfunctioning air conditioning in the Engine 6 station in Portland.
Union officials first filed a grievance about a month ago after firefighters complained to the department and the union about a lack of air conditioning in part of the building, which was opened in early 2009.
At that time, department officials put in temporary air-conditioning units to help ease the problem. But one of those units went out, prompting the union to file a second grievance.
